Lubas Voice & Stage Studio of Sarasota - Helping You Achieve A Healthy, Flexible & Unique Technique

Biographical Info

MARK LUBAS, tenor, made his adult professional debut in 1996 with the Nashville Symphony as the tenor soloist in Handel's Messiah. Soon thereafter, he moved to Boston and earned two Master of Music degrees from the New England Conservatory of Music (Vocal Performance, Opera).  Mr. Lubas has performed roles with companies across the U.S., among them Aspen Opera Theatre Company, Ash Lawn-Highland Summer Festival, Boston Lyric Opera, Mobile Opera, and Opera Carolina. Concert engagements have included tenor solos in oratorios & masses by Verdi, Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, Handel, Bach, and Mendelssohn, as well as premiering many new choral works.

In addition to the stage, Mr. Lubas is an experienced voice teacher and acting coach. His style operates on a simple principle, learned over almost 25 years of teaching: helping you learn how your body operates naturally will help you achieve your own unique, healthy, consistent technique. This will simultaneously allow your singing and acting to be easier for you and more deeply felt by your audience. The result: that wonderful feeling of connection between audience and performer.

From 2006 to 2010, Mr. Lubas created and built the college-prep theatre training program at The Out-of-Door Academy in Sarasota, FL.  Since then, Mark has concentrated on his true professional love - teaching people of all levels to find and use their voice.
